As part of a photo class I am taking, I decided to take the "365" challenge and take one photo a day for an entire year. I am going to post the results here. I am starting Oct. 1, 2010, to finish Oct. 1, 2011.

Birthday
It's my birthday! I am the ripe old age of 25. This was the first birthday I felt a little funny about. I feel like I really am officially an adult, and am not quite sure about how I feel about that. Like I have been trying my whole life to be grown up, and now that I am, I'm not quite ready for it. Matt sent me these lovely flowers for my B-day. :-)

Old Moose
As we were coming back from Saratoga, I bailed out of the car to take pictures of this old moose. She(?) was just munching leaves and didn't seem to care that as I was there. Since I tend to be a bit reckless when taking pictures of wildlife, Matt was right there to make sure I didn't get trampled.

Bird
I love being up at the cabin! There are always so many awesome critters around to take pictures of. That is definitely my true calling... nature photography. I snapped this photo of a pretty little bird while I was strolling up the river.

Lights
I had to work in the art gallery this Sunday. I had a jerk start making fun of my big trout painting, but he and the other jerks with him (they were doing nothing but mocking artwork) left before I could rip him a new one. I had plenty of other nice people in, though. I notice that people always go over to my paintings, but I still haven't sold a big one there yet. These are some of the fancy gallery lights that make art look oh so pretty.

Nails
I found the coolest black crackle nail polish. You paint your nails one color (I chose purple) and then paint the black over it. It crackles in such an interesting way.

Rain
It has been so rainy! Every day, rain! This is the wettest Spring I can remember. It makes it hard to do things outside...the park is all muddy and Matt has had his last three softball games canceled.

Shoulder
I took this with my iPad. I was trying to check email and Stash decided she found a new perch. I know I have had a lot of Stash pictures lately but she has been ridiculous, and therefore photo-worthy.

Well-Used
I love this little palette. I used it for all of my wet media, like ink and acrylics. As you can see, it bears all the signs and leftover paint of lots of use. I think Becky gave this to me years ago, but I could be wrong.

Turkey Caller
Matt has this cool turkey caller that a friend of his made. This guy goes to thos "Rendez-vous" events, where people dress up like mountain men...It is very similar to civil War re-enactments, but for this part of the country. This is made out all natural things and would be like like a turkey caller made back in frontier-times.

Woodpecker
This little woodpecker was in the tree right outside out apartment. We get some cool birds with the park so close by.

Pelican
Even though I am not ashamed to admit that I regularly post-edit my photos, I am proud to say I did not touch this one at all. I was trying to use the manual camera settings to take the best possible photo, and I think I did about as well as I could have with the subject and lighting.

Cookie
First, she was chewing up my earbuds. Now she is stealing my cookie! I have raised a little monster.

Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day! I went out to my parents house for a nice brunch. We gave Mom our cards and gifts and ate lots of french toast, bacon and watermelon. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, so we went outside to play with the dogs and horses. This is Toby rolling in the dirt after splashing himself with water from the trough.

Wind
The crazy spring winds blew down the neighboring house's tree right into my apartment building's fence. Knowing the folks that live there, it will probably be a long time until it is fixed. My observational skills were so poor that the fence had been down for three days before I noticed. And even then Rachel had to tell me.

Goslings
The first family of goslings have hatched in the park! They are so tiny and so cute I can't believe it.

Flash
I bought an off-camera flash to (hopefully) improve my photography. It is a large, hand-held flash that I can set up anywhere to flash when my camera tells it to. It is ridiculously complicated and so very awesome. Rachel was once again a willing and photogenic subject while I tested it out.

Electronics
I am far too attached to my electronics. Hardly a minute goes by that I don't know where my cell phone or iPod is.

Dead
I have ever been so shocked and/or happy to know that someone was dead. Sunday night, we were watching a DVR recording of Good Eats and I hopped on to Facebook and saw nothing but messages about the most wanted man in the world being dead. I couldn't believe it until I saw this on CNN.
